Hi all:
I have a very annoying issue with my Tamron lens (AF 28-300 mm) it appears that somehow dust or dirty got into the lens and has accumulated smack in the middle at the front part of the lens giving me nasty cloudy spots on every picture.  Of course, I notice this on a road trip where I only brought this lens.
Any ideas how/why this could have been happening and more importantly, whether there is anything I could do about it?
Thanks so much for any help and advice.

Are this spots always there or when You shoot with Tamron only?

Those "cloudy spots" sounds more like dust on sensor. Do you only see spots with this lens and do they really disappear when you use another lens? Can you send us some example images?

Are you sure it is dust and not fungus or lens separation (i.e. cemented lens elements starting to come apart)?

It is usually possible to unscrew the front and back lenses - there are holes or indentations in the retaining ring for a lens spanner - but if the problem is deeper than the outermost element things start getting difficult. Fungus needs a special caustic solution to clean it off properly and can eat into coatings and etch permanent marks on the glass in some cases.

Sorry about not answering right away, we are on a road trip and don't always have reliable internet.
Anyway, I see the issue only with that lens and it is pretty clear from looking at it that the problem is right at the front of the lens, although it is hard to tell where exactly.  It could well be a fungus, never thought about that but the appearance of the "cloudy spots" might support this. I'll see whether I can open the lens and clean it, if I damage it so be it, it is pretty much useless at it is.
Thanks for the link to the article, I'll check that out as well.
