I'm getting one, unless someone else announces something better.  It looks perfect to me though.

That's kind of an old link. I'm looking forward to the camera but I'll wait for the dpreview assessment before buying. In the meantime signing up here will get you updates - they just sent one out yesterday: http://www.finepix-x100.com/

Yes I saw this the other day, it's being heralded as the poor mans M9, it will be interesting to see some sample files from an end user.

I will be interested in the price, I think it will be too expensive for me.  I also want to see if sigma put their new foveon sensor in a compact.

I'm propably getting one too...

I don't like the title "poor mans M9", because I think this baby produces better images...(?)

I just hope they can keep that nuclear power station under control.  I watched a programme about Chernobyl and that was close to a complete catastrophe.  We must be crazy having anything to do with nuclear energy when it could leave vast areas as no go zones for thousands of years.  It also costs a small fortune and nobody knows what to do with the waste.  I would hope we are innovative enough to find a better solution.

Well... it's just going to be a longer wait then...

It surprised me (positively) that these cameras are made in Japan (and not in China)

If you get the chance watch Sky news, they had an 'expert' on this morning and unlike most of their experts he seemed to actually know what he was talking about, he played down most of the reporters attempt at scaremongering and explained things in a calm and precise manner, it doesn't look good but it's not as bad as the news channel would like to make out.

Nikon also . . . . . .

"Injury is reported to some of our group employees. We are currently continuing to gather safety information of our personnel and its family members."

Our hearts go out to the Japanese people.
