Hi, I just want to say that I buy a D300 and now I'm broken. I'm a poor junky. Just hope tonight I'm not going to freeze outside for making my first try. I have to make this an habit, because I make me a cardboard box for living in. Just kidding  :)

Thankyou all and Wow. I'm ready to put my D200 to the garbage. But more seriously, I just have to shoot around the house and the great shot comes from everywhere.

Take one from the wall, take one from a set of 3 little lights on the ceiling, all are already a bit more saturated and really more sharp (not talking about the over megapixels here). Lot but lot less photoshoping to do...

I can easily fix pictures where I wasn't whit my D200 (Shutter whit lot less vibration and more silent)

The big LCD screen is so more readable.

Only thing I don't understand is why the power switch is so lazy. What I mean is there's no click when you turn the switch? Another it's the f/stop dial who is more harder to turn than the shutter speed one.

But however, it's the first camera who is making me such good first impression! Hope the sun will be there tomorrow.

Felicitation pour ton D300,
If you're looking for a nice comfortable garbage can for your D200, I can bring one to you...

Enjoy,

Pierre

Wow, it seem the planet is having some hardcore temperature record. What I was hoping about the sun come true but the -20C is making me think about going out twice now.

How it would be great to have the beach just next door like you have madelaine. But I can say that 40C is too much for me too. I start to sweat at only 25C  :D

You don't know what you're missing...  The crisp sound of frozen dry  snow under your feet,... the great feeling of your car running just as it has square tires...  Ohhh, I'm soooooo lucky

Yes, further feedback would be welcome please Vonkara.

I'd be interested to hear about dynamic range (whites and blacks) in the iso 100-200 area.

I'd be interested to hear about dynamic range (whites and blacks) in the iso 100-200 area.
I don't tested it myself but I heard on a french specialized magazine forum that it was lost of dynamic at 100iso ( 100iso is an low extension of 200iso). So because I'm trying to make my first stock images I don't go under 200iso for the moment.

There's just no sun outside right now, but I have some traffic lights pictures to do for my next subjects. I have already one taken whit the D200 at 100 iso, so once it will be accepted at Fotolia first, I'm going to create an other tread for those who want to compare D200 100iso vs D300 200iso. (Fotolia have a crop feature and are the fastest to approve)

An other thing about dynamic is that you have the option to shoot in RAW at 14bits so you gain some details in lights and dark area but I just shoot in jpeg who is only 8bits. For jpeg and RAW there an other option call D- light, who also increase details in white area as I read in the manual. For the moment there's nothing to do except playing ice hockey and waiting for the sun to come out. I do not want to make too much indoor pictures because it takes lot of photoshop in my case. To be continued...
