Title: Nikon d 600, any experience?
Post by: JPSDK on January 01, 2013, 13:32
Im close to buying a nikon d 600.

But but.
I have examined the d 800 files at 100 % and they are really not that impressive.
But would the d 600 files be worse or better.
Until now I have used nikon d 200 and various lenses.
it works. I get the pictures I want, I get them noisefree and shining despite that the camera is from 2005.
Isnt that amazing?
So if any of you have tried, or have first hand files and want to share, please do.

I am in he same situation... D800 or D600. I incline more towards D600 + 85mm f/1.8 G. I plan to switch from Canon to Nikon.

Completely unimpressed with the D800 image quality and level of luminence noise.  The D600 produced far better results for me, but I decided to wait for the next model.

I've heard a story about oil spots on sensor during first 1000 clicks....

That is an issue, which is why I didn't purchase the D600.  Lots of horror stories about that.

sensor spots?
Ja, but thats not really a problem, we remove them all the time.

From what i read the oil spots on sensor was an issue at the first D600 models that were released. Nikon fixed that problem.

I have both a D600 and D800. I prefer the D800 and find the image quality fantastic. I have also shot with the Canon 5D Mark II and the Nikon D700 both of which I traded in for the new Nikons. Nothing to wait for in my opinion as they are both fine cameras and the image quality in great. The D800 gives me more pixels to crop.

These are oil related....much different than dust bunnies.

sure, oil is not so easy to remove.

Anyway, does someone have a full size file from a d 600.
And how about noise and iso performance.
