And wow, pocket wizard sure has a monopoly.  They do work great so no complaints, but surprising that no one else has stepped in to try and compete. Maybe they have a patent on radio control remote controls for DSLR cameras.

PW have many competitors, but none that have their reliability and range. That's why they can charge so much.

yeah, i guess when i think about it they do!!... but they really don't compare.  I used a hensel radio remote unit for hensel strobes and it would misfire much too often.  The pocket wizards have never misfired unless there is a bad cord or something.

but still surprising there are no, at least 'equal' competitors.
