wow awesome. reminds me of my old medium format days. during that time, i was earning so much i could afford everything i see , (4x5, 2 1.4, 645, 35mm) and had them all for work. now being partly retired, it's too much of a luxury for me.
well, who knows, maybe if i sell more stock photos or the stocks (the real one..as in stock market) recover, i might just get it still. ;D as the spanish say, "ojala!" ;D

If they was only able to do a good 12 mpx sensor...

I saw it announced in "news" in some paper magazines already 3 yrs ago... and it still didn't see the light till now. Is it truly coming out now? Not sure...
And I seriously doubt about the market for that camera. I am afraid they missed the train - but that will still depend on performance and price.

It's to bad that they havent made a digital back that would work on the older models of the 645. From the links it looks like these backs wont fit the old film bodies and that the new body wont take the old film backs :'(
-
from the photos it appears that the new camera doesn't have a detachable back, just "openable" (for sensor cleaning I suppose)

I don't think it will have market, does not have the flexibility of digital backs neither possibility to use old lenses.
Not sure it will ever be marketed outside Japan...
Just my two cents!
