Title: Pentax Lenses
Post by: rjphoto on September 15, 2008, 22:40
Hello,

Just wondering if anyone knows a good WEB site that may list the best Pentax lenses to have in your kit. I would like to have a good Portrait, Wide Angle, Zoom and maybe an everyday type of lense.

Appreciate any ideas.

Thanks

Try http://pentaxforums.com/ and http://photozone.de/

The Pentax 77mm f/1.8 Limited is one of the best portrait lenses made by any camera manufacturer, and clearly the most compact. Highly recommended.

Thanks for the input epixx, I've heard that about the 77mm and saving up my dollars.

Portrait: New: the DA 70mm/2.4 and as mentioned by epixx the 77mm a 55mm/1.4 will be there soon and is a perfect Portraitlens on an Crop-Body! Manual-option the 58mm/1.4 Nokton from Voigtländer (all are really great lenses there is no info on the 55mm so far (naturally) but i pretty sure it will be very good)
Old: the FA 85mm/1.4 (excellent one i have this one) but you get it only used! Manual-option the A 85mm/1.4 (great i had one this too but i sold a while ago) and the M 85mm/2.0 (a little bit soft but i like it for portraits)
Wide Angle: the DA 14mm/2.8 is very good! the 12-24mm also but i prefer the 14mm! A compact 15mm is coming in the future!
Zoom: the Kit II is already very good considering its price tag i personally use a Sigma 17-70mm as an every day zoom it was about 300,-€ and its a good lens.
