I'm on a tight budget for an ND filter.

I'm often taking pictures at the beach and it's awfully bright. I also want to do some time lapse footage in day light with motion blur, therefore I need at least X8 (I hope that's enough...).

If someone has experience with Hoya filter let me know if they're any good. I wish I could spend $150 on a single filter but that's out of the question.

Is this any good:

or multi coated:

Any info is appreciated. Thanks.
