This year I have bought with my stock money:

580EX flash
Sigma 10-20 EX lens
Canon 50mm f1.8II lens
Flash kit
Set of plastic sheets for continuous backing
8 meg card
10 books

Waiting waiting waiting for my first L lens. If only I could get accepted at Alamy and StockXpert.

It's a good all-round lens. Especially useful for wedding photography. From your gear listed above I understand that you have a 1.6x crop dslr. Then you'll be able to shoot in the "sweet spot" of 24-105. Or any L lens for that matter.
Maybe you should consider a 70-200 f/4 L too. Even the one without IS, which is much more cheaper and the results are outstanding. I notice that you don't have anything above 50mm covered.

8 meg card

I hope that's actually a 8GB card!

(I saw a lot of $10 "8MB" cards on eBay recently)

Just ordered myself a Manfrotto 728B tripod. Hopefully it'll be in soon so I can start trying out things in time for a trip. =)

I'm sure you're going to love that lens. I very nearly bought it for myself but chose the 24-70mm L instead, along with my Canon 5D. All paid for by stock sales. Next on the list is the 70-200mm f2.8 L and some studio lighting. And then I want a wide angle lens....and so the list goes on and on and on... ;D

I'd gotten to the point where I have all the glass I need for now, and figured I'm finally done buying gear*.

Then I break my trust Sigma flash.  Guess my next purchase is a 580EX.

*I'll be fine until Canon announces a 24-70 2.8L IS (rumored for Sept) - then I'll be pining for that.

My last purchase with stock money included the 24-105 L lens. It replaced a Sigma 24-70 that I fell with and smashed a while back. I do not think you will regret buying it once you make the purchase.

My next purchase will be a good carbon fiber tripod. The tripod I use now is about as good as using no tripod at all.

if Canon don't release the new 5d pretty soon I am getting more tempted to go with nikon d700 but what stops me is the L lenses that I have.,can't wait for the new camera!

btw as mentioned above the 24-105 L gets good reviews as all purpose lens .
