Title: B&H review of the Canon T3i

Do I understand it right, you need to focus manually for videos?  :-\

There is auto focus that you can use before taking a video.  It's slower than focusing when taking stills and it isn't worth using during the video, as the hunting for focus will ruin it.

Sad they haven't improved that over the T2i. Figured they would have.

Still, it's actually not that hard to focus manually. I use the zoom button (not lens zoom) before shooting to get focused, and then as you go along it's not too hard to re-adjust. Of course there are limits to what you can successfully shoot in this way. I wouldn't try chasing the kids around the yard, trying to manually refocus all the time. But for what I use the camera to shoot (landscapes, interviews, etc.) it's easy enough to do.

I feel like I just got my T2i yesterday and here's the 3 already. Crap this stuff moves faster all the time.
