Title: Buying a Refurbished Canon 5D
Post by: Whiz on January 10, 2009, 19:52
So I was thinking of purchasing a Canon 5d from either Adorama or B&H Photo, and I was wondering if any of you had ever done this? I'm mostly concerned with the warranty. Adorama is offering a 90 day warranty and B&H Photo is offering a thirty day warranty. But I was reading online that Canon still did a one year warranty for refurbished products. So is there another warranty that comes with the camera or something? I'm sure these guys will not sell me a "crap camera", but I just want to be careful. Thanks for any responses.

Adorama is selling a refurbished by Canon which should work like new. Check with Canon for warranty details.

B&H is selling a Used camera in excellent condition at a higher price than the Canon Refurbished.

I would buy the Adorama camera even if no additional warranty was available.

In my oppinion Refurbished by Canon beats Used even if excellent.

I went ahead and bought the Adorama one, and purchased a two year warranty with it for an additional seventy dollars. Still a good deal I think. Thanks, Lcjtripod.
