Pure pixel envy, when will it stop?  :D

I did like the 25 ISO part, but I know when I see the price tag and waiting list, I'll be back to waiting for the 70-D to get announced.

As for fps, it's something I watch and haven't been found lacking to only (cracks me up = only?) 3.7 while the 40-D is 6.5fps, I imagine how to move all that data through a processor and to a card fast enough to get the frame rate almost 4 for 46MP. I'm pretty sure this isn't a sports camera and 3.7fps in a studio should be fast enough?

Imagine this. 8MB image files per image, that's not RAW, but just a standard JPEG. So is that a 40MB RAW image? Did I figure right? 8GB card = 100 RAW images?  ???

Actually Raw size depends of kind of Raw from manufacturer to manufacturer. Eg few years ago Yuri says that his raw from 48mp Hassy is little more than 100mb.

Even my 5D mk II raw files can be in the 40MB are if there is plenty of detail in the image (like a fabric texture or similar).
I don't think the 46MP files would be much bigger, because the lens won't resolve much more detail, but maybe we'll get to the 60MB area....  ???

And yes, I would certainly buy a 3D if the autofocus is at least as good as in 5D mk III and the price tag isn't totally insane.

I still wait for the entry level FF. I am not interested in body construction or speed; i want to use the camera only for studio work. For fast action , bad weather i have the 7D.

Back to the topic...

If the IQ of the newly rumored 3Dx ( which  i believe will be announced as a response to D800 )will be at least as Nikon D800 with a reasonable price, than Canon will hit the jackpot.
This camera is aimed to the landscape and studio photographers .... so, the speed is not a important aspect.

And what of the 6D? Rumored to be a 22MP FF, entry level build?

the majority of folks do they really need more that 12mp? I can see landscape folks that want something close to MF to produce large print out or some of us that a buyer might want to produce. The good thing is that we can back out more and even if we crop it there is still a good size file left...
