Just heads up for those in the waiting line, the Canon 5D mark II is now back in stock at BH photo, with free shipping and a $200 rebate (for US people)

Back out of stock now.

The $200 rebate requires purchase of the body, a lens (one of a specific 4), and a 580 EX II all on the same receipt. Great deal if you were going to buy them all anyway, otherwise not so hot.

I was getting ready to kick myself because my receipt is dated February 4, but then I noticed that you had to get a lens and a flash with it, so the kicking will have to wait...

Here's another option. ebay, $200 off with live.com cashback rebate. $2435 was the cheapest I've found today.

Pyxis Camera on Ebay has them for $2,479.

I bought a lens from them before and it worked out well. But, they don't appear to be an authorized Canon dealer and I've seen a few comments from 5DII buyers that there was no warranty card. They registered the warranty online with no problems though.

Anybody know how this affects the warranty?
