Hello,

I recently bought a new Canon R5 from a Belgium website but the camera came from China (through a third supplier). Everything was fine until I tried to use the cloud function via the image.canon.com website. My camera is sending an email for registration in Chinese via "ciu.canon.com.cn" and I cannot switch to EN. After some research I understood that my only option was to change the PCB (more than 600 EUR). I asked the guys from Canon.be and Canon Europe, they checked the SN from my camera and, indeed, the camera was not made for EU market. They recommended me to send it back because most probably this camera comes from a "gray" market.
I asked the seller and after a few emails they told me I could send it back and I would get my money back.
My question is if the same thing happened to someone else and if he continued to use the camera. Do you think, regarding accessing the image.canon.com will be other issues with it? I bought it already at a very good price and I don't know whether to return it or not. The seller told me that I will have 2 years of warranty. I don't know if that could be the only downside (the cloud thing).

Thank you for your thoughts  :)
