Anyone know what's with canstockphoto? I haven't been able to upload anything in days, their forum is down, and support tickets go unanswered.
-
I have uploaded there too, about 800 files and they do not appear in die unfinished liste after days.
Maybe that site finally exploded ...
-
Are you saying none of your 800 images are appearing in the unfinished section? For the past week I have been trying to upload only one pic, the first time I got a never ending rotating cog so I deleted it and tried to upload again but nothing uploads, the unfinished section is empty.
-
I used the web upload on their site and the upload of the files finished, but none of the files appeared in the unfinished section so far.
Maybe they have a big load of images in the queue or just their fileserver crashed... I have no idea...
-
Yeah, that's exactly the problem I'm having, the pic finished uploading but it does not appear.
-
They must be doing a bit of house cleaning since there's only a remnant of the forums left.
I was wondering when someone would notice that something is amiss. LOL🙃

I've also been unable to upload for days. I use Stock Submitter, so ftp not working either.
-
Same for me. When I saw that the uploads weren't going through, and that the forum was down, I requested a payout. That came through within a couple of days, which was reassuring, but I got charged a fee, which I don't think has happened in the past.
I opened a support ticket regarding the upload problem several days ago, which is still unanswered.
-
Yes the new PP fees are crazy high. I've been wary of cashing out because of it. I hope they sort it soon.

There is a notice on their website saying "They will cease operations on October 1st".
So I guess this clears up all your confusions..
Sad to see them go. We had a good ride while it lasted.

Yes, I'm sorry to see them go, but I'm grateful that they aren't just shutting up shop and leaving the contributors high and dry. Hopefully they will make final payments as promised.
I have a feeling they won't be the only smaller site to close down.
-
They sent out an email right now about ceasing operations.
Payments for contributors will be processed.
-
They are closing down Oct 1. If you have more than $5 in sales, request your payment before it closes. They are indeed paying out contributors. I had 32 bucks for the year.
-
"For contributors, to request a final payment, contributors must log on to their “Convert Earnings” page and enter their payment information. Payments of $5 USD or more will be processed for account balances as of October 1st, for eligible accounts, who have submitted a request. Payments may take several months, but we anticipate they will be sent by December 31, 2023. The deadline to submit your payment request is September 30th."
I'm glad they'll process final payment requests, at least we'll get paid by the end of the year.

Citing AI as a reason, "Today of course everyone has a capable digital camera in their pocket, and the advent of AI means amazing images can be created for free from programs with just a few keywords. Decreased business and increasing costs has made it no longer possible to keep operating, to our great disappointment."

Yes they are shutting down, just got an email from Canstockphoto saying that they will cease operations as of Oct. 1 2023 and contributors have until Sept. 30 to request payout.
I'm sorry to see them go, sales there didn't happen often but they paid better than the other microstock sites I'm on. The email also said that payment could take several months. Don't know why it should take that long
