Title: canstock and their "review time"
Post by: mike ledray on January 19, 2011, 18:05
Well Canstock has an ad to the right of this page with a "review time"  saying how fast an uploaded image will be until its reviewed

I uploaded a bunch of shots when it said it was "1 hour" for review
its been 6 hours so far

lol

guess its time to go back to shutterstock and upload something new

Yes it's been a lot slower than usual over recent days.  Usually it's only an hour though.

Compared to some others though (7-10 days),  it's still heavenly  ;D

Hey Mike,

They have been really fast for the most part but the last couple days they've been slow. But still faster than most sites.

Thanks Steve (and everyone else)

I have decided to try to expand my horizons (from just ss)
Hopefully Canstock can sell some stock too!

Hi mike (and others),

The ad on the right is actually live and functional, and is updated every 15 minutes. It shows the average wait time for all of our files at that moment in time. Presently for me I see it's displaying "Under 6 Hours". I wonder if you may have to click the "Refresh" button on your browser, as perhaps your browser is caching an older (and faster) version?

One thing I will mention that sometimes confuses people - is that when you upload a new model release, it must first go through it's own approval process with our legal team. Once the release is approved, then the related images will be released for inspection. So as a result, those first images with a new release may take a little longer to be approved, especially if you upload on a weekend. This is only for new releases. Video files also go through a different process and can take a bit longer.

But nevertheless, the ad on the right shows the average of all of those files. So some will be quicker and some will be slower, but it should give you a pretty good indication. And just for fun, so far this year the total average approval time for all files has been just under 2 hours.

Hope that helps,

Duncan

They nearly always have the best review times, earnings are growing nicely and Duncan often replies to posts here.  Doesn't it make a nice change from some of the other sites?

Canstock is awesome. Recently, I have been sending stuff to Canstock first as they review so quickly. If something is rejected, I try and fix the problem and send it again. If it is rejected again, I don't bother sending it to the others. However, usually the new version is accepted and then I send this version to the others.

Hey Mike.

Yeah it's been a little slow I think just this week but other than that it's pretty spot on.  Been with them since August Duncan and the crew are great to work with.  Any site issues they're on it and usually cleared up in a day or less.

I'm quite happy there.

Oh and +3 on the above post :)
