I have only been with CanStockPhoto a short while but am already amazed at the high number of views compared to the low sales I have received.

I am currently selling 1 picture per 271 views  :-[

Is it just me or are others experiencing this? Has this always been the case?

Anyone beat a 1/271 ratio?

I'm at 1 per 188 views.

Pretty sad... seeing as Fotolia is at 1 sale per 27 views.

I flamed at CanStockPhoto, no downloads since Sept 06,  I think they have very few buyers and I hardly ever go there anymore.

I have over 300 pics there (more than any other site) and sales are slow. I have been there almost from the start so I'll stay with it.

One download per 258 views with 411 images approved. That's not good, and it will take ages before I have a payout, if ever.

One download per 255 with 640 online.

Regardless of whether they are a good site or not, it begs the question, why would you look at a photo you dont want to buy.  And if you do want to buy, why are you viewing 150-250 photo before you buy one.

Unless the google bots are increasing the views.

Other Photographers look at each others work on the sites, in order to  steal ideas, (joking)

1 download per 304 views (yikes!) for 213 images online.

I guess people like to look?!?

I am only new to micro, but I reckon you guys have hit it on the head.

the views are each of us checking out other photographers stuff, plus

people who have subscriptions to buy off other sites, just seeing if there is an original at CanStockPhoto they cannot get anywhere else

Not convinced about the 'views' argument.  If that's correct, why don't photos elsewhere get 300 views?

I have very few views at FT, but images sell a lot there, so I'm quite happy with them and quite disappointed with CanStockPhoto.  I get a lot of views in StockXpert too, with good sales.

I didn't think I was doing well on that site but apparently my 1 to 131 ratio isn't that bad.

Last time I bothered to look I had acquired total earnings of $9

Not worth the grief.

1 per 114.

CanStockPhoto is the lowest earner among all. about $15 a month .. hahah. that will work out to about $180 per year. Good enough for me to get candies for my girl

haha

1 per 194 views.  289 images online.  Sales are very slow.  I am always hoping that they will catch up one day...

One per 217 and 445 images online. Seems to be pretty normal for CanStockPhoto then. At the current rate, I will reach payout ($100) in about one year. pretty good compared to a couple of other places where I have photos.

My sales have improved there this year, and with the automatic categories, it's very easy to upload, so I'll stay there.

1 sale per 94 views for me. One of my lowest earners, but still far better than LO for me (624 views... 0 sale, with 1120 images online  :-\)

At LO, I actually have 6 sales and 367 views with only 234 images online. I plan to finance the Christmas celebration in 2020 with money from LO  :D

I'm at 81 views per sale, which surprises me. My portfolio is all over a year old and my photography skills were in their infancy back then.

epixx, payout is at $50 if you have PayPal, so you could only have to wait six months!  ;)
