I just found that I had 23 sales yesterday, all marked as "Distribution Subscription" and paying $0.30 each. Some images were sold multiple times.
I typically have nothing close to 23 downloads in a whole month, so this is rather special.
Anyone else having seen anything like that in the last few days? Anyone already know where this might be coming from?
-
13 of these myself as well. Wonder what is going on?
-
I got 5 of these yesterday ..
-
I had a few
-
I had 6 - I wonder if there was some accounting glitch from the past that got "corrected" yesterday?
It'll take more of the $15 distribution "regular" sales to make any real uptick in Canstock earnings (those appear to have dried up to a trickle). 30 cent subs is noise - even if it's fraud and they claw it back :)
-
Just when I thought CS was a mummified corpse 3 sales made a total of $0.90 Distribution Subscription sales.
almost the same as a full month's normal sales :'(
-
I had few "distribution subscription" sales (0.30$ each) and one 19.80$ "distribution regular" sale.
Strange, but I like it. :)
-
I had nine Distribution Subscription sales x 0.32$ (size Small).
-
... 7... of these
-
1 ... on a file that has never sold elsewhere ...
-
I had only 3 :(
-
Perhaps a distributor has just reported results for a lengthy period to CS.

That would be my guess.

well, with my $3.90 today the drinks are on me today Guys/Gals! :)

closed My account.

Same here. had a couple of distribution sales last december and now again. Guess, they collect the sales in Canstock one or two month and publish the sales all at once.
-
And again - lots of sales, not only distribution sales, sales in generally. This month is my BME on Canstock, and February has just begun!
-
I have this happen every day at all of my micros, unfortunately. >:( >:( >:(
-
I have been having a lot of distribution subs this month, not just one day, but a few almost every day. Not that it is a lot in the grand scheme of things, but on the order of the same amount as the previous 4 months added up.
Anyone else - is there a new "partner"? someone selling them for big bucks and we get subs?
-
Wouldn't it be easier (and faster, more correct finding answer) to ask the source? :)
-
Christmas motifs are rather rare for me for this season. Perhaps a larger agency plans in advance.
22 sales within two minutes.
-
This has been happening for some time now. The sales get reported all at once, so you'll see a mass of sub sales appear all of a sudden, once a day (I see them around mid-morning and have come to look forward to this boost each day). For me, these sales have pushed CanStockPhoto into Tier 2 range again (and for the record I see Tier 1 as SS on its own, and Tier 2 is FT, DT, 123, DP, BigStock and CanStockPhoto all earning about the same amount these days).

Canstock is doing better for me lately mind you has done this before and gone down later.

Canstock has been very strange. It really dried up beginning around last July and Jan-Feb were abysmal. I had no DLs there at all from Feb 18 - March 10, and I can't remember having such a large break with no DLs there ever. Then all of a sudden the taps were turned on beginning March 11 and I have had more DLs there this month than any month in the past 5 years - about 3 times an average month in less than two weeks. Almost all subs so $$$ is only about the average from last year but I will take it. Either they have suddenly had a major marketing success or they had computer problems that delayed previous sales from reporting and these are all past sales just showing up at once. I am hoping for the former but I suspect it is most likely a reporting issue - they probably hired some programmers from iStock.

I hope they took on another distributor and it's a good one.

In my experience asking questions of companies you either get ignored, get a canned response that may or may not have anything to do with the question, or get some vague marketing speak sort of answer that doesn't really answer anything. Unfortunately I don't even really consider that as a valid way to get an answer anymore. What a sad state of affairs.
It is odd to get more sales this month than the previous 4 months combined, but since they are almost all subs the total isn't worth writing home about.

That is my experience as well - a BME for # of sales, but only near last year's average monthly earnings. I assume it is a computer glitch with delayed reporting of previous sales but probably no way to find out for sure (unless it continues this month).
