Has anyone figured out how to get the tax back that Canva withheld? For the first time I actually received a statement from Canva showing the tax withheld. I've searched a bit on the internet but cannot find a clear answer. Anyone had any luck with this? Thnx.

Got it .. so you apply against your native country taxes. I assumed it was something I had to petition the Aussie government for. I'm in Canada but I imagine it's similar to the US. Frankly, for the couple hundred involved I will probably pass on it. I get enough grief on my taxes without throwing something new into the mix and possibly triggering an expensive audit.

Under $600 is easy. It's when you go over it's a PITA.

For US, using canva's 1099, list the amount under 'taxes withheld' - if that amt is more than the taxes you owe(!), either roll it over, or request a refund from IRS
