Hello,
I just received my new tablet. It's Aiptek Hyper Pen 8000U PRO. I installed it, and it worked properly few minutes, but after it something strange happened. It doesn't "see" the pen anymore. When I put the mouse on it, green LED is constantly lit, which means the tablet recognizes the mouse. But when I put the pen on a table, green LED is flashing like I didn't put it there. The pen simply doesn't work anymore. The mouse is working properly. I tried to reinstall drivers, to reinstall manager program, but the pen still doesn't work. What should I do? Is it possible that I have to replace the pen after few minutes of working?
Thank you in advance! Ivan

Does that pen need batteries?

Is the failure occuring with the pen in all programs, or only with Photoshop? If so, what version of PS are you using? There are several threads out there in Forumland on the web about problems with the Aiptek tablets and Photoshop CS versions. Do a Google search on Aiptek tablet  with "pen problems" in quotes. Apparently there is trouble with Photoshop CS versions recognizing te pen pressure properly. Old PS 7 supposed to work ok.

Also, does the manufacturer have a support area on their website? That would be the best place to go.

And yes I ave heard that some pens have batteries, so definitely check on that too.

It has a battery. I replaced it and nothing. It ocures in all programs. There is a LED light on the tablet that should stop blinking when the pen is near the tablet. But when I put my pen close to the tablet it doesn't stop blinking. It means the tablet doesn't "see" the pen. I contacted Aiptek support. But I have a feeling I won't get the right answer....

Maybe this will help. Is the tablet connected to your motherboard usb port on the back of the case  or is it connected to a usb hub. If it's connected to a hub try connecting it directly to your motherboard.

It's connected on the back of the case. The most interesting thing is when I installed it first it worked. I made one circle in Adobe Illustrator with it. After it the mouse that came with the tablet messed up my usual mouse, and I found newer driver for the tablet. I had few blue screens during installation of a new driver. Than I found another, even newer driver, and installation went fine but I have this problem. I tried to install it on two more computers, and pen doesn't work on any of them.
