i have used the spyder2pro and am very happy with the results.  I did a bit of research as to which one was best / which one i needed a while ago and ended up on this one.

Have you used in an apple cinema display and a pc or this isnt important for the performance of the calibrator?

i really doubt it would make a difference.  The calibrator runs of the supplied software  so things should be pretty standardized.

I used it on a pc though.

I've heard people say the Pantone Huey is good, although when you look at the reviews on Amazon, there seems to be mixed results.

I'm still toying with the idea of buying a calibrator myself, but have never got round to it.  :-\
