Title: FTP Issues?
Post by: graficallyminded on January 14, 2009, 08:55
I contacted Barbara on myspace, she said there were going to be scheduled downtime. http://cutcaster.wordpress.com/2009/01/12/server-work-7pm-est-to-10pm-est/

That was yesterday, the 13th.  Today is the 14th and I still can't log on, even with the newly updated ftp instructions as found on the site's upload tab.

Anyone else having any problems, or is it just my account?  I was logging onto the ftp and uploading just fine last weekend.

They have changed their ftp address to content.cutcaster.com. It caught me out too. If you go to the upload page on cutcaster there is info about it.

No I had it too this morning, even with content.cutcaster.com. I guess they're reconfiguring the FTP server.

Okay, good to hear it's not just happening to me.  I'm sure it will be fixed soon.

It's already fixed for half a day. Uploaded this morning without a glitch.

everything cool now?  we moved the upload portion over to ec2 so that is why there is a change of address.  let me know if anything quirky pops up.  sorry for the small inconvenience.  off to a meeting with a big publisher.  wish me luck ;-)  john

the meeting went very well and about an hour and a half into it someone comes running into the room and says look out the window a plane has crashed into the hudson river.  that threw everyone for a loop but thank god everyone was ok.  what an amazing story.

Wow, I seen that story on the news!  I never even thought that someone in this community might have been there.  I truly am glad everyone was ok.

Yup, ftp is working great now - thanks!

That airplane story was amazing, yesterday.  It's nice for once to hear of a plan accident where everyone survived.

Great story, made my day :) I think that is first time I've heard of Jumbo crashing and everyone survives. Like something out of the "twilight zone".
