Just noticed that I had my first non-exclusive, non-motor sports sale at Cutcaster. The sale was on the 16th but I just noticed it today. $2.31 for two slices of watermelon. Good Show, John. There may be something to this new pricing scheme. :o

Yep - looking good so far, 5 sales this month already.
-
I had no sales in 2008, 2009 and most 2010,
5 sales in the last months of 2010,
and 3 sales already in 2011.
Yes, the trend is definitely positive, let's hope Cutcaster can make it this time.

2 sales in two year with 1100 images there... :P

Yep! Does it worth of our effort!? ???

It has been well worth my time. Just over 400 images there has netted me well over $400.
Admittedly, they were exclusive images and VERY niche oriented. But, I'm starting to sell a few microstock-type images under the new scheme. I think others are saying the same thing.
Hope your patience is rewarding in the next few weeks.

It's getting better every day. The super fast site + excellent search is really drawing people in and helping them buy faster!
We are still doing a lot of tweaking to the new site. Keep that feedback coming!

Overall Cora, it looks good. But, I still have concerns about the lack of statistical analysis tools and the confusing/laborious pricing procedures.

Warren, feel free to email me. I know you have some special images. I can help you with pricing those.

Cora,
I just this minute emailed John, asking for an expedite. (client is waiting)
I can live with the $15 (medium) limit but need a way to delete some images. I've fixed a scanner problem and am uploading HigherRes versions and need to replace a few images.

Really like the new look site and signed up just after the relaunch. Now that reviews are back in full swing (some approved within a couple of minutes last night!) I'm just curious to know if I am missing the Rejected Files section, or isn't there one yet? I had five files that were pending but never made it to approved (Shell petrol station and logos) so I am just assuming they were rejected. It would be good to know for sure and, ideally, with a reason given. By co-incidence three of those images sold on another site today (Shell is in the news because of their production in Libya). Regards, David.

I think there is a lot of "tweaking" to be done, David. And, I wish they would reverse the order of portfolio display. My older images are first ... they are not my best. Could be a turnoff for buyers.
and, I don't see a way to delete an image?
And, I can no longer see the views in my Legends Folder. :(
I'm sure there is still lots to come ... I hope. :P

Thanks Warren, yes I'm sure there is more to do and the new site is developing fast. Review times are now great (I can only speak for editorial on that). Like you, I have a lot of archive B/W images which I am hoping will do as well as yours seem to have done. I can't see any views either btw. Regards, David.

Just had a note from John. They are rolling out a huge new update "hopefully by the end of the week."

I'm redoing all my shots to include a motorcycle and some dirt. Will that help?

Hope Not! Might dilute my market. ;D
Just kidding. I really think that a larger selection of racing (motocross) images would attract more buyers, thereby improving overall sales ... Mine included. ;D
ED note: My more current motocross stuff is selling fairly well at SS and DT. Only the Vintage stuff is exclusive to Cutcaster.

Probably!
Or just put in PS some motorcycle in background... ;D
-
On SS we can just add "motocross" "motorcycle" "dirt" and "bike" to the keywords on all the images we already have online.
