Title: pop the champagne cork
Post by: stockastic on May 07, 2011, 17:04
After 2 years, I made a sale at CC.  Smallest size; I received 20 cents.   You can probably hear the sounds of the party I have going on over here; let me know if the music gets too loud.

But,  it is a hopeful sign.  I only have about 120 photos there.  Given this extraordinary jump in sales, I may submit more.

Congratulations.  Just $49.80 to a payout.   ;D

CC is awesome they even approved me a few files a few months ago and they are corrupted, missing part of the picture!

That's 20 cents more than I've made.

I just noticed yesterday that I made my first and thus far only sale there back in March.  43 cents.  I only had a few hundred images there, since I hated their submission process.  Surprised to discover that they'd replaced it, and now submitting is relatively painless.  Already uploaded a whole bunch more content, which is what happens when I'm bored at work.

I think I saw a post from someone at CC to the effect that you get a boost from new submissions.   My shots have been gathering dust there for 2 years, so I am punished for my loyalty, just when customers are starting to show up.  I need a reboot.  Maybe I should close my account, create a new one with a fake identity and resubmit everything.   :D

That's not happening.  I'm in the process of uploading my portfolio there and have made only 96c so far.

I earned nothing on Cutcaster for years, and then a few dollars since end of 2010. Maybe things are starting to head in the right direction there - also, the new web site is nicer.

$1.12 earned for one sale in just over a year. I stopped uploading there six months ago and haven't seen any reason to do so.....yet.

According to the new web site, payout is now at $20.   For me, that's only 100 years away!

If I get another sale I may swing into action and upload some more.  The one sale I've had so far might be just a database error, caused by a stray cosmic ray, or a burst of radiation from Japan.  I need to be sure.

So where are all the contributors who has to put in more than a monthly 2 rating to counteract all our 1 ratings (to end up with an average of 2)?  ???

I am less then $5 away form my second payout at CC. To bad that the only you sales count to active balance to reach payout. Otherwise my referral balance would push me over the $25 minimum payout.
