Title: Zipping files for Cutcaster, and rasters...
Post by: lola on March 07, 2011, 17:02
I appreciate you guys helping me here......to upload vectors on Cutcaster it says:

"Only upload EPS or AI formats with attached JPEG preview zipped into one file.
Note: Do not place the vector and JPEG preview inside a folder when compressing them into a ZIP archive."

1) How do you zip 2 files into one file, vs placing them in a folder (zip archive)?

.......do you just right click, and go "add to xxxxx.zip"?  because they DO end up in a folder that way....

2) What's the difference with Fotolia and the zipping there?

3) Does Cutcaster generate the JPG from the EPS or do you have to upload that separately?

It's no difference about the zip files for fotolia. If they are zipped together in one archive, that doesn't mean that they are in a folder. They want to say that you shouldn't put them first in one folder and later to zip that folder. Just select the vector and jpeg and send them to one zip archive, after that upload that archive to cutcaster.
I'm not sure if they can generate jpegs, all I know is that I am uploading the same zip files that I use to upload to fotolia, with http, and they go without problems to cutcaster.

If you need more assistance, ask John, he will answer you quickly. Email him here: [email protected] (http://[email protected])

I hope that helps.
