Has anyone else noticed a change in their acceptance ratio at Deposit?  I was at 83% before this week, with most of my batches accepted at over 90%.  This week I uploaded 67 images and 100% were rejected with the reason "This image is not suitable for commercial use".  These were no different than any of the other images that I have submitted to them over the last 3 years.  Has something changed over there?  I sent them a support ticket, but I was wondering if this has happened to anyone else.

Yes. 95% acceptance up until a month ago. Now the vast majority are rejected for "not suitable for commercial use."

Stopped uploading because frankly the only motivation for submitting was their high acceptance rate. Certainly at $0.30 a sale there is now no incentive to work with them.

I haven't seen any change.  Still getting 100% acceptance on my recent submissions.

can you post a few for us to view? They might have enough in their inventory (ie flowers on white) and just not accepting anymore...

This most recent batch ranged from textures and backgrounds to architecture to signs to palm trees and Caribbean islands.  I could understand some being rejected due to overstocked images, but it just doesn't make sense to all of a sudden start rejecting entire batches of images with different themes.  It seems like the same thing has happened to modvis, so maybe they have changed direction and are agressively trying to scale down their acceptances.  That is their right, of course, but a little communication with the contributors would have been nice.

I haven't had any problems or change to my acceptance rate.

Had it as well, but I admit that my last batch was very different in type from my previous submissions and where in all probably mostly not that commercial.  :-[ But they did reject some images they might have let through in the past - so yes, I think they are getting now more selective.

Yes, i experienced same issue. Time ago my pics were admitted with a relative easiness. From a couple of month they have bacome more selective with my submitted batches than FT. I also think they want to appear to have a more selective aceptance policy and maybe improve the overall quality of their portfolio.  >:(

Might be a rogue reviewer.  My last batch was 100% accepted yesterday.  Maybe try resubmitting some of them and see what happens.

No problems and no dramatic changes for me. I have 98.81% acceptance ratio at DP and my images are usually reviewed pretty fast, in hours usually, sometimes it takes a day or two at the most. Sales are also good for me! So far I have 500 files online with 356 sales total. Not bad, considering I am just enthusiast photographer taking pictures of landscapes, nature or cultural heritage pictures mostly. Such as pictures of historical towns, open-air museums, castles or castle ruins, also some domestic animals, horses, or cows, etc.
On the other side, I have no photos of people, nor still life, nor any sort of typical stock images there.

90% since I started, "This image is not suitable for commercial use" is the other 10% I see no change.

And here lies the answer.
Can you not see it?
They have had enough, now they want to improve quality.

Can YOU not see it? They want better images but they still want to pay peanuts. >:(

It's subjective regarding rejecting images on the basis of not having commercial appeal. A lot of images I have had rejected on this basis have sold well elsewhere. This is my second attempt at joining with 5 images for examination but if I fail again I won't bother. Too much time wasted. They are not as high as Dreamstime on the list for earnings rating and Dreamstime are pretty awful for sales. Only SS and IS sell images for me.

I'm still at 80-80%, but of the rejects, most are the not suitable for commercial use variety, but I did have one that said, "Since the composition of the image does not meet our quality standards, we feel the photograph is not suited for commercial purposes." That's much better than just not suitable for commercial use

I tried 3 times and got rejected. I have stopped applying to this agency. I am selling on all the top tier and mid tier agency. I have a small portfolio of around 80 images and SS sells the most followed by 123 and then FT and IS are almost same. Rest have no sale as yet

What ever happen to a simple rejection like, we don't like it and we don't want it? Instead we get all kinds of canned LCV and not suitable rejections which are just as meaningless.

This is the one reason I should work more at Alamy, which I don't. If it's exposed well and isn't Porn, they take it. Let the buyers decide.

DP still takes things that get rejected at IS and SS, so I'm not going to complain. I think they are easy to get files accepted. Unfortunately the part about making sales is also low and slow. So yes they are there, but no, they don't sell. Maybe they are LCV?

latest stupid rejection reason -- a batch with similar was submitted so they rejected all of them -- these were in fact taken on the same day, but the images themselves varied in framing, composition, etc

with the low sales and tiny commissions, it's hardly worth bothering anymore
