glad to see you are trying to recruit new competitors for yourself...

do this more often and it won't be long before deposit photos turns into crestock for you..

what specifically do you mean? (I heard I think on this forum that they use sales data to produce similar content? is that it - or something else?)

DP sales have increased slightly in May but they're still only making 30 cent downloads so $9 instead of the usual $3  ;D

That's not DP, that's freepik. DP have a whole separate shady history, and one of the lowest RPD among the older sites

Finally someone metioning it. I think that every agency does that. They would be crazy not to. The same with these platforms  that help us upload and  track the stats. They are all lifestyle stock photographers suddenly :) Now I track their productions and copy that. All of the data reflected in their pictures :)

Which agencies also produce content?

All of them. They all have art directors working with picked up photographers. Art directors research the market and work closely with photographers. It is not a new thing. Getty first. The others I don't want to mention because maybe it is some kind of secret, I can't know each agency's policy.

I had no idea this was a thing...

There are strange channels. The human being, earn more or less money, always adapts to the expense of the money earned, normally. And it always aspires to more. In other words, the millionaire normally spends like a millionaire. All this comment is to highlight those channels that year after year, only work four or five images of funnel download dates. Valentine's Day, New Year, Christmas, Black Friday, ......, and do not try a little more, conformist.

It is strange, that placing those images in priority, outstanding and super recommended images, .... and settle for those extraordinary sales. Are channels that with little effort earn a lot, it is strange that they do not continue to work, let's say twice the images a year, to earn double the profit? They are channels with many sales, but few images. It's strange.

It's strange. That with little effort, your material is highly visible to be offered to potential clients. Either they create trends, or they are trending, or they know trends, money machines, but they do not increase the catalog, they wait for the next year, for the elite dates of sales, funnel.

Maybe they are smart, and they work to live, simply. However, it is strange. Channels, very special.
