I think the initial approval bonus they pay should be disregarded when it comes to poll voting.

It is very misleading. Newbies will actually think they will constantly make more on DP than 123rf or BigStock.

Yes, obviously some are not excluding it.

I even saw blog posts about monthly earnings including DP relatively high in the charts without mentioning they are there because of upload bonus, not real earnings. And obviously with a nice thick referral link under, above and on the side of the article.

yeah, obviously some people are including it. I put at note on the poll now to NOT include upload bonuses. But like disorderly mentioned - it should straighten itself out soon enough.

All in all - Depositphotos did outperformed all remaining agencies due to their bonus program... If that 'bonuses' excluded, then you should exclude all votes from istock exclusives because they are gaining istocks position on the list ;-)

Nevertheless, the fact is that depositphotos did made better earnings for all submitters than the following on the table and why change that?

We won't really know how DepositPhotos performs until the promotion is completely over with and their buyers promotion is over. Some sales there may have been generated by the trial offer for the buyers. Give it a couple of months, then I think you'll get more of an idea where they rank.

I didn't include the income I made off the contributors promotion in the poll results only the actual sales.

Times change!

Back then it was unrealistic for them to rank above 123rf and bigstock.. but now they outsell bigstock by a large margin and are nearly on par with 123rf..

Oh and they also outsell fotolia and dreamstime, so yeah easily within the top 5..

That's where the OLD THREAD ALERT comes in. This thread was started almost 4 years ago. At that time DP paid a bonus for uploaded files. I don't know when they stopped, but it was before I joined a couple of years ago.
