"DepositPhotos will pay you $0.05 for each approved photo your referral uploads for sale in our library - for up to 1000 photos!"

1000 photos for every referral or for all...?  ???
Good question. I would think that would be for "each" referral made, might want to ask Leaf...he has alot of referrals going through him so he may be able to answer that.

well I don't have anyone who has uploaded 1000 photos yet ($50 worth) but I can see that it is (1000 x $.05 = $50) per referral

Tyler, wouldn't it be better if MSG users had mechanism to include referral links as signature (other than manually add them)?
I think this would reduce amount of pimping posts that, honestly, are becoming annoying

yeah, people can use their regular signature pretty easily like Tom mentioned.  We could also (or instead) have a thing in our profile (like the portfolio links) where we enter referal info and have little icons or something to make it tidier.

I put the idea on the list

It's great to have it in your signature. However, if you just got approved by DP and have a new referral number, how else will anyone know you have it unless you are replying to someone's post or starting one of your own? No one will really see it unless you "pimp" it at least once. I'm waiting on mine, too.  ;D

I think that is a great idea leaf. I already have my referal in my signature area but I can still see other people continueing to post it in the message area. You know the bigger the better as far as advertising as being noticed is the way to go so I image it will still go on. Good Luck

I tried to submit a payout request today but the request was refused.

Problem was that pesty "$" sign, so . . . If you are making out a payout request don't use the Dollar Sign.

I must say Contributor Support at DepositPhotos is very good, returning an answer to my stupid question within the hour.

They must be getting picky now. 23 Images I had built up in the que were just shot down.

All of them were accepted at SS. The Photographs were accepted at DT too. These ranged from Fractals to Snow Pics to some textures. Only 2 had some type of explanations of Poor Lighting, White Balance...ect.  and the rest were "The image is not suitable for commercial use".

 ???

Keep trying to get the last $50 I guess. Maybe I should shoot a lot of similars since looking at their front page..they take them.

Edit... 2 were 3d renders and 1 raster illustration.

yes they are starting to get more picky now...well actually for me they were picky to begin with. There were some they rejected for compostion problems....lighting problems...that are on iStock as well as dreamstime, a couple of them being two of my big get that fromsellers on Istock...but after taking a real close look at them I could see where they are right in some cases . Some I did editing on and resubmitted and "most" of them went through the second time. I just upload a few at a time now.
