I realize it is a bit of a subjective question (obviously depends on content/etc) - but if you have a deposit photos port, could you share rough figures, and whether you focus on videos, photos, or both?

I'm considering joining them (haven't yet) - just wondering whether there is some good potential to get additional sales from there, or whether it would just be a time consuming task for a few dollars, etc...

And how would they compare say to your port on AS/SS/etc? (just for reference, like is it (DP) a relatively 'big' agency/customer base?)

DP would never be a time consuming task, as they are the agency with the easiest submitting process. Just hit upload and click submit. No stupid keyword sorting or highlighting, not even categories to select. Takes literally one second for a whole batch of content.

Depositphotos is easy and fast,and it is also a cloud storage,you can download all your contents,if you need them in the future.

the problem is that I don't like having content on which I have spent hours of work,on agencies that earn little profit,because of thieves.

i think who want to steal content take it from these small agencies to resell it on better agencies.

this is why I prefer to delete my contents in agencies where I sell little or nothing,if it's AI content (which DP doesn't accept) I don't care,but I don't leave my work on display for thieves in agencies that don't make much.

sales are poor,especially videos,from what I understand,because I have few videos anyway.

I couldn't agree more. DP is the easiest starting point for submitting to online agencies. Copy and paste your description and keywords when you're submitting to other agencies and streamline the ridiculous submission process. Personally, I've also found that DP sales increase when you're approaching pay-out.

Thanks... but - what is considered a "good" amount of sales?

Say one had 1000 images, & 1000 videos, relatively all unique/saleable (but no people shots/model releases/etc - so content other than people shots).

Would you... estimate making $10/month? $100/month? $500/month? $1000/month? Just curious what kind of average return there is, and what people consider "a lot" or "a little" in terms of revenue... thanks!

That's already too much work. Embed the decription and keywords to the metadata of the image, then you don't have to copy apnd paste anything.
Believe me, this will save you so much time in the long run. At the beginning I also used to copy & paste keywords from one agency to another when submitting my images, but then you decide to join a new agency and suddenly you find yourself wasting so much time searching for the old images in databases to copy your keywords.

When I started back in 2014 or whenever, I could make a couple hundred a month. Now a make a couple of ... dollars. Maybe.

Ah, okay - thanks - that definitely helps.

Yes, was just trying to decide if it was worth it... I.e., a couple years ago I had joined 123rf - and it was time consuming uploading/processing stuff, etc - and in the couple years there - I think 'maybe' I got $100? Thanks. Was wondering how DP fared on that scale...

on DP I have well over 1000 photos. I joined DP 18 months ago & had about 27 DLs so far the first DLs happened almost straight away. Some photos (of buildings & places) sold several times within a month then just the odd DL here & there so not really worth it, especially as the payout is at $50.
It's been even worse on Dreamstime though (a supposedly better agency) with only 36 DLs in the last 3 years & it was 6 months before I got the first DL there.
I think both agencies were much better for sales in the past but I think SS has taken a lot of sales from these in the last 10 years

I've been there since June 2012, only images.

My portfolio size there is at just under 1,200 – slightly smaller than at shutterstock and at Adobe Stock, but larger than at istockphotos. The performance there is significantly worse than with the 3 agencies mentioned.

Almost 8000 downloads so far - that is even a lot less than with 123rf, although nothing has been coming in there for a long time.

+ easy upload - it's really fast and unproblematic
+ no rejections
+ problem-free payouts

- poor RPD
- decreasing download numbers (at least for me)
- no large downloads - revenues of over $ 3 per download hardly ever occur

is it still? you have to enter a title AND a different description too. Because this i once stopped uploading. super annoying to add one additional word to the description for each image. So it was not super easy to upload.
