Well, if the site didn't have contributors, it couldn't lead the race to the bottom. So the blame should be shared equally between the greedy site and contributors who are willing to work for nothing. That's what happens when the economy tanks. Those with money take advantage of those who are desperate for money.  :(

they mainly have subscription plan buyers but apart from that they do pay decent royalties 44% as the lowest

I agree. But I think the blame should be shared with 81-85% of blame going to the sites and 15-19% of the blame going to contributors...

Exactly, they are a subscription site undercutting already low subscribtion prices, so who cares about 44% of a small amount you rarely get anyway..
Their success increases the risk of other subscription sites lowering their prices and commisions.

Not a lot of data, but yes: lowest RPD in top 10....sad :(

I still can't get excited by Depositphotos.  I uploaded enough for their initial bonus but haven't uploaded most of my portfolio.  The site is a bit too much like Fotolia and I will wait and see if they follow their commission cutting strategy.  They've spent a lot of money, are they going to squeeze us to get some back?

It is getting boring the sites have no ideas and the same photos as everyone and the only marketing idea they have is to offer the photos cheaper than the rest and as soon they have a little success the next idea is too reduce commissions, yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaawn  ::)

Well, we're all different ...
I like DepositPhotos, I always have.
I like the video too, good job Elena! Young, smart, enthusiastic and cute :)

The upload process is a breeze.
Inspection is fast and reviewers are consistent.
Payouts are fast too.
My commission is better than most and royalties are decent.
Sales are forever growing.
These guys are hungry, aggressive and I like that.

With a port of 570 images I sell around 3 - 5 images a week at Fotolia. A week. This rate stayed much the same for the past 2 and a half years. It never grows. At Fotolia I sell nothing but the same images, again and again, and occasionally, some very old stuff I forgot I uploaded.
At Fotolia I get 23 cent / subscription.
I sell a lot more at DepositPhotos for a better commission and more money.

DepositPhotos sells our images for very low prices?
But I believe Fotolia, (and others), sells them even cheaper - partner sites.

All in all, DepositPhotos is not perfect, (no agency is), but there are many good points about them, I like them and I'm going to stick with them.

Good job on the video Elena, and good luck :)
