I said I wouldn't do it after Albumo but here I go again. I had 4 shots on there for a few months and got one sale so I decided to put my culled version of the port there and see how it goes. One of the things that helped me decide was seeing some of the major players on there already which suggest they've done some research and feel positive about DP's chances. Now I got 1730 images there and will see how it goes or it will be a waste of time like Albumo, Lucky Oliver and Veer....

I uploaded a dozen or so as a test back in March then quickly forgot about them.  Some posts here reminded me about DP last week so I looked up my port and was surprised to see about a dozen sales, mostly of the same two images.  So I've uploaded another 50 or so and will watch to see if it's worth moving the whole port over.

I made $0-48 last month with a port of 565 photos. This was my worst month ever. But I'm not giving up on them and plan to upload perhaps 100 or so new photos during July.

i found the view is low and funny thing i got only 1 subs download $0.30, but it is deducted as returned sales, so back to $0... this is the first time i heard there is a returned sales..

it does has a hold up period for images like? 2 years? does it mean i can't close the account in 2 years based on the date of images i uploaded recently?

yes i got $0.30 for maybe 1 week or more then i suddenly saw the total sale is back to 0, and there is a folder 'returned sales' and got -$0.30, stating the reason is 'subscription was rejected' something like this. I really don't bother to check with them what is wrong but i mean things like that shouldn't happened no matter what, even credit card scam or something else, it should be deal with a better procedure rather than your sales can be gone anytime.

If you uploaded during the time when they were paying you, they are suppose to be online for 6 months. If you uploaded them before that...there isn't a lock. You can delete whenever you want, you just can't do that with the ones they paid you to upload. That was the terms you agreed to when you uploaded them during the period they were paying you....6 months.

As for as them deducting from your account for a bad sale, dreamstime and fotolia both do this also. I don't know rather iStock or Shutterstock do this because I've never had it happen there, but the other two I have, so it is done on other stock sites as well, no just deposit photos.

oic, i am surprised that happened to me firs time at my first sale in DP.

anyway, i wasn't get paid for uploading during their promotion, i was told by DP that i wasn't selected and so i didn't really upload my portfolio there. Because of the slow view and slow sales, and the $0.30 subs, i can deactivate my files and stop them from selling it immediately?

You should be able to delete your portfolio there and the sales would stop. You might want to double check with customer support just to be sure if it is something you're concerned about.

I uploaded 250 photos there in Feb this year and have been adding when I get a chance since then. Now up to 420.

Sales have been relatively consistent (numbers in downloads):

March: 17
April: 30
May: 22
June: 27

Will keep adding images and see if it grows...

New member, 2 posts in different threads, both posts exactly the same, no portfolio links?

Hi FD,

Sorry, I thought my reply was relevant to both threads. Rookie mistake I guess.

It appears I cant set up my portfolio links until I have at least 25 posts or something.

Any tips on this?

My DP folio is here:

Hi Again,

Sorry looks like I now have access to the links area. No need for any advice.

BTW, I have about 80 images awaiting approval on DP which is why I said 450, when there are only about 380 live at the moment.
