Title: Submitting to Deposit
Post by: jcpjr on October 20, 2012, 15:53
When you edit your unfinished submittals do you check the "Extended License Options"? I just noticed this and will need to go back and edit each image if it's worth the effort....any comments? It would be nice if they had a mass selection like the other sites. Getting tired of the 0.30 sales. Thanks....jp

Ticking the option is not going to stop getting you 30c sales

I realize that....the question is, is anyone getting EL's and are they worth the effort?

I made the same mistake. Open the chat dialogue and ask support to do it for you.

I have been getting small ELs once a month, 14-18 dollars

How long does it take for accepted files to go live on DP?

Is there a trick to getting multiple word keywords, like "isolated on white" correctly interpreted into the DP keyword list?  It seems like it splits everything apart, and you have to add it manually on site, one by one.

I have reported that problem, and they have confirmed it as a bug and they are going to fix it.

The only work around is to delete all keywords, in the editor, by clicking backspace (fastest way to delete all keywords, another problem I reported and they are going to add a delete all button). And then copy paste the keywords from your IPTC data manually. That way it will keep phrases. If you have 2000 images, that can be a pain in the hole. Maybe wait for the fix.

Sean,

you donīt have to keyword yourself. Depositphotos has a "VIP" program where a very nice lady goes through all your files, adds keywords, categories and in my case even title and subscription. Just upload files and releases and they will do it for you.

And her keywording is excellent.

I was a little too embarrassed to take them up on it in the beginning, but she very kindly kept offering the service and now I wish everyone would do that!

If they offered it to me (and several other people I know) they must have that option for you.

Ah yeah, the VIP program, made me feel like a right minion.... not worthy of sharing the same air as DP :)

I had my  keywords in the IPTC data but they did the catagories for me. They are very eager to help at DP

This is probably where our 28$ SS El's have gone. Another example of deposit underpricing the market.
