Hi
To upload images for review at DepositPhoto they require a color profile of "RGB Color Space".  Just to clarify, is that sRGB or Adobe RGB?

Thanks
Ruth

I've submitted a question to DepositPhoto for clarification.

Do you suppose they mean "any" RGB but "no" CMYK?

Let us know what you learn?

They likely would prefer sRGB as that displays better on buyer's monitors, but will accept Adobe RGB 1998.  They definitely do not want CMYK or other color schemes.

It's very likely that they are just ruling out any CMYK admissions.  Since this is my first submission to DP, the "test", I want to make sure it's the correct color profile.  I submitted a ticket today, I'll let you know the response.

 4. Image standards.

We accept Images 2400 x 1600 pixels or larger.

Images with very high resolution have a better chance of being sold, as they are more suitable for a variety of layouts.

We do not accept Images up-sampled by interpolation due to the loss of quality when compared to original Images of the same size.

We accept Images only in JPEG format (RGB color space).

Do not submit TIFF, PSD, PNG, BMP files, even great photos will be rejected.

It's on their site.

RGB is the umbrella, you still need to choose sRGB, ProPhoto RGB or Adobe RGB

Yes, personally you do, but they clearly accept most RGB formats.  They have both Adobe RGB and SRGB from me, so perhaps they convert on their end.

Heard back from a very nice gentleman at DepositPhoto's regarding clarification on "RGB Color Space".

His response:
"Both of the color profiles (sRGB and Adobe RGB) are acceptable, but the second one better conveys the color palette."

Now I can proceed.  Thanks for your help in this matter.
