Most of my refused images are "Lack of Composition". >:(
Iīm photographing nearly 30 years and i know the Rules of "Golden Ratio" very well, but sometimes you have to break this Rule for a better pic (e.g. symmetrical Shots...).
The Inspectors on DT only live for and with that Rule. Poor Boy, they are so inflexible.
BTW: All the refused Photos selling well on IS.
Whatīs your opinion? ???
-
In my experience rejections at Dreamstime are usually reasonable, and if I remember right I never got this particular type of rejection. Even though not all of my pictures are perfectly composed...
You could show some of your rejected pictures if you want a more specific comment...

Hi Mikhail,
thanks for your response. Here is one of them: http://www.istockphoto.com/file_closeup/in-insert/1399103-dvd-buttons.php?id=1399103 (http://www.istockphoto.com/file_closeup/in-insert/1399103-dvd-buttons.php?id=1399103)

Hi Mikhail,

I don't think composition has anything to do in this case. I suppose they meant "we don't want this type of pictures"...

There is nothing like "lack of composition". Composition is like weather, it can be bad or good but never does not exist :-)
-
@MikLav,
i donīt think so, because there are these reasons "We have reviewed your file and this is not quite what we're looking for" or/and "This is a very well covered subject in our data base or the subject of your image is too specific.".
@melastmohican,
correct. Those silly explanation.
BTW: If you solve the prob (crop the image) and resubmit it, suddenly there is another reason to refuse the pic. Canīt the say (or write) it all at once.
-
just resubmit it. chances are different reviewer will like it I find.

I thought "Lack of Composition" means "we think this is not a stock photo".
