Title: 70 cent sale?
Post by: Karimala on June 06, 2008, 07:17
What am I missing?

This morning I sold a medium size photo for two credits and received only 70 cents commission instead of $1.  The credits are listed as 2007 credits.  Any ideas why?

Strange, all this microstock starts to smell no good. They pay us want they want, we have to respect polices, they don't. Are they honest with number of downloads ?

Got a reply on DT's forums, and apparently it's an alliance sale.

Exactly.  Nothing shady going here.  Every site has alliance sales, including the usual bizarre less than 19c sale at iStock.  But they are so rare, I don't see an effect on earnings.  No reason to question the honesty of Dreamstime.

I only think they should show in the earnings page that this was a partner's sale.  Even if we got the same price we get in the site, I think we should know how active the partner sales are.

I agree, Adelaide.  The reason why it threw me off at first was because it was listed as a regular 2007 credit sale.
