So, what do you think?  Aspects brought up in the discussion in the forum (http://www.dreamstime.com/thread_8102) are not completely clear to me.

A leader in stock photography, Dreamstime uses various marketing tactics and policies to sustain sales growth by widening its reach to new audiences. More viewers of our images mean more potential customers. Our aim is to put you under the spotlights of fame and success by allowing more people to visualize you and your work.

Consequently we have initiated a series of strategic alliances and partnerships with major companies for the purpose of substantially increasing exposure of Dreamstime’s contributors’ images. These partners operate on specific vertical markets that expose the images to new and far reaching buying markets. Due to the strategic nature of these partnerships we are not able to advertise all of them, although you already noticed some being published and serviced through our media channels.

All partnerships are required to follow the usage rights of our terms and conditions. Sales that occur on our own site award the royalties from the sale price. Some of these partnerships will award the 50-60% royalties to the contributor from the agency’s share, while most will still award them based on the sale price. This is the only difference to your existent contract: some of the partners will provide a very high volume of sales through considerable efforts, therefore the agency is not able to support their share. Remember that Dreamstime currently awards up to 80% to the photographers, being the agency that awards the best royalties (see PDN's recent survey). Consequently, in a few of these deals the photographers royalties are awarded as 50-60% from the agency's share, after the partner receives its share.

This flexibility allows us to reward our partners for their considerable technical and marketing investments in presenting Dreamstime content to new markets, increasing images exposure and expanding the number of buyers. All third parties prices are credit based. Subscription downloads are not available through these channels. Extended licensing is available and updates to your accounts are made in real time or in 24 hours maximum.

This additional resource is optional. Should a photographer not want to participate or there are contract conflicts (i.e. a previous contract may be in place that forbids selling content in a certain way or to a specific market), there is an opt out button to be selected.

The "Alliances and Partnerships" section is available in your Management Area. Although many contracts were signed already or are under discussion, the content will be delivered after September 10.
