The upload limits are a pain in the butt. I think that I read something about how this was a temporary solution to a problem that they were having.
But its been a few months now?

I dunno if they're permanent but it sure feels like it. A few weeks or so ago they relaxed it on the exclusives so they got more upload slots but for those of us who aren't unless we've got a great percentage rate we're stuck. If I were a photographer I'd be chuffed but I'm not and I can't do 18 illustrations in a week anyway. Really it blows for those that do a lot of volume of work only to get stuck uploading the max 35 especially when they have hundreds to submit.

I have stopped uploading as limit has started. I am a full-time Stocker. If I can't upload my monthly production of 300-400 images, it makes no sense for me. So I have more time for other agencys. And I have reactivated I-Stock. Perhaps the better way.
I think upload limits are not professional. The only thing that should be assessed is the quality of the images.

they are pretending to be SMART but they arenīt.. the similar picture was a problem but now there a few more for sure.. remove crappy pictures approved yesterday, last month, 2 years ago.. decreasing the upload slots is just ridiculous, if they donīt want REJECT simple as that.. but I get them less reviewers less work less money and at the moment more money to them (and in future?).. they have enough so they can do what they want actually just like other agency
stock is a lot of fun, today is the photo+, too bad tomorrow is saturday but I am sure next week we will have something!! ;D

+1
Dreamstime does itself no favor. And they continue to approve very low quality material which renders whatever limit useless.

Doesn't iStock have upload limits?

They do, and very strict ones for that matter.
Upload limits are a good thing.

Hallelujah.
"We have increased the upload limit to 8 files/day (56 files/week). We still expect our contributors to be highly selective when it comes to their submissions. Please avoid uploading similar....."
