Why is Dreamstime listed as one of the Big 4 when it's #8 and behind Pond5, Alamy, 123RF, and Deposit? :)
-
Historical I guess on the right hand panel its only just in the middle tier. The "big four" died a while back I think

It's showing @ #8 here.

That's what the OP said. He was referring to DT being in the TopTier - Big4 forum nesting.

Yeah, simply because it was in the big 4 earlier. They have obviously fallen quite a bit in the last while. I'll fix the forum sections pronto

Thanks. Nothing important either way, I was just making a humorous observation. I'm sure that most people would be happy if DT was still in the top four.
Talk about the downfall of Micro, 123RF and DP are tied for 6th best? Only ten get enough votes to make the survey? Note Self Hosted would be 4th at 15.3!

For sure they have no more their place in big 4. And soon, even in Middle Tier...
-
Used to make reasonable payouts virtually every month with a graph just going up on the downloads, then like everyone else it just went down and down to one payout a year, even uploading loads didn't help.
They shot themselves in the foot with the similar issue, along with other crazy rejections, plus the website should be more modern in its look and feel.
Shame really as they are generally a really helpful company and seem like nice people when you communicate with them, and on the plus side there charging levels are good but again they have failed to modernise this structure.
Will be sadly.

I see the new site alignment and ordering by ALPHA. Looks nice. No more Big Four (or five or six or whatever) on the forum side. :)

Actually, that's not very convenient. You have to scroll way down to find a popular site like Shutterstock with 50,000 posts, tucked in among others with just a few hundred. The forums with most posts should still be at the top.

This wasn't about the forums, it was about the poll.

Dreamstime was my first agency that I submitted to way-back-when so I think I continue on more for nostalgic reasons than anything else - that and their minimum payback isn't under $0.30 US.....my "bottom-line" working with any agency.
Like others have said - its a decent agency with good people to help but for the life of me - I can't understand why they refuse to lower the minimum pay-out threshold. They're almost in the "low earner" category and yet the rule remains that suppliers have to reach $100 before getting paid. I've got to think a lot more photographers would jump on board if the pay-out watermark was set at $30 or $50us.
Could someone from DT respond to this question and clarify once and for all why you insist on setting the bar so high? Even SS - the top earner for most of us - is $25 lower....

This would be better. Right now 123rf is at the top, yuk. But if it was ordered by posts then istock would be at the top, double yuk. Maybe the agencies could be ordered by which has the most posts with the words "exciting news", so it could be a new ranking which determines the level of billshut. :)

Corporations can't invest debt and get interest. Ask somebody who knows, because you sure don't.
