Any idea how this affects commissions - assuming we have sales?
-
Wouldn't it be nice if they announced this to contributors before they announced it to buyers? I have no idea how the discount affects us because we were not told anything. I assume that if credits are cheaper we get less since we were not told otherwise. No info is available on the site to figure out how payments shake out other than the usual, Royalties different from the ones you see displayed on the Sell Your Images page are due to various factors. The most common explanation is the actual credit value per each package a buyer purchases. The more credits the package has, the lower the price/credit. Each credit's value and hence royalties are now calculated at the real value paid by the buyer.

And the 50% off?

If my favourite shop decide to rebate the price of a beer, the rebate is in own share not in the share of the brewery. Or they can reach an agreement.
Why photographers are considered less than a brewery?
I need a button to suspend all my photographs during rebate.

dunno ???

Maybe there was no communication to contributors because there is no impact - i.e. no reduction in commission and they are taking the hit

7 credits $1, normally is about 1.8$

Nothing but subs for me today (Nov 28) - normal payment.

OK then.

Excuse the paranoia!!!

My last credit sale was on 11/27 and within a few cents of a similar one on 11/24. Don't know if they started the sale Friday or on Thanksgiving when I had the sale.
Credit sales ranging from $3.37 to $8.37 this month and decent volume for my small port. 26 sales so far this month, which is about average volume for the year, but $ higher than usual, more credit sales, however, still about 20% less than last November with only one day left. The new "normal" for 2014.
Edit: Got a 10 credit sale today (Saturday) and earned a few cents more than on various 12 credit sales I had earlier this month, so they are not taking the 50% sale out of our pockets, assuming the "Black Friday" sale was still on today. No sales yesterday. Sub prices are the sames as always.
