I have a small port so i'm pretty vulnerable to the tides, but i've been wondering about this for awhile...
On SS i generally have 5-10 EL's/month, on iStock 2-5/month (less now), when i was still with FT i also had them on a somewhat regular basis, same with Veer... but on DT i've had 2 (!) since i started submitting in 2008.
I've double checked to make sure my files are opted in for EL's there, so thats not it.

So i was wondering, do you bigger/steadier ports people have regular EL's there, or do they also come waaaay fewer compared to other sites?

I've only had 2 there as well. 1 in 2010 and the other in 2011. Definitely few and far between for me. I have less than 400 there so not sure if that's a good basis or not.

Surely less than at SS and also less than at IS. I'd say about equal to FT and 123RF. But at least 123RF pays more for ELs, I usually get pathetic ELs at DT and FT in the neighbourhood of 12$ or so.

Not only are they few and far between, but the payout for DT EL's is disappointing. FT used to come fairly steady but ELs there have slowed. iS....I don't even consider much any more. SS is definitely the leader in every kind of download, ESPECIALLY ELs which are regular.

I was wondering the same thing with DT, am I opted in to EL's? Then finally, after about 18 months I got my first EL there, while getting regular ones at SS, Veer and others.

Seems its just not their thing.

I have had eight ELs since 2008, averaging about $20.00. Not nearly enough.

I've always thought that I just wasn't getting any luck with ELs on dt. Just 1 to date and it was pretty low, around $10. Strange huh.

SS are great for EL's. I find it strange that the other sites haven't done more to increase EL's. I suppose it's easier to cut our commissions than think of other ways to increase revenue.

Yeah, SS definitely rocks with EL's!
DT is my n°3 in sales, but is by far on the bottom when it comes to ELs.
I really can't think of an explanation; EL options are advertised clearly, aren't too expensive... really beats me.
