Iīm on 99,62$ and havenīt had a download for ages. Whatīs going on? Not that Iīm desperate for cash, but this is ridicilous. Is this a common problem?

It always seems to happen that way! Stop looking at your PC and you'll get more sales.

Right now I'm sitting at 99.99, I kid you not. Does seem to happen that way. Only notice it when I need the money. The one I don't like is 123rf. Been waiting on a payout for a while now. At least with Dreamstime you make the request.

Ive been stuck on $78 for a couple of weeks now sales seem to have just completely stopped at DT whats going on???

Everybody has those cycles of good and poor days, or weeks, or months. I guess every agency has it's own cycles. I am doing good on DT right now. Actually DT was always good for me, but last few weeks is really good

aw, you should have added this topic last week. i had 2 credit for writing a blog and i gave it a way to buy 2 images from someone who was a nice and helpful person here.
i know you from MP , and i would have used my credits to help you reach payout too.
well, i will write a blog and maybe this time get you to reach payout. ;)

i shall do my best to think of a good subject to write my new blog in DT.
meantime magnum, drink lots of water... or go look for some fruit trees,
(we used to do that when we were kids and wanted to save money for comics instead of using our lunch money that our parents gave us) . only watch out for the owner of the fruit trees, make sure they don't have a big dog or a baseball bat ;D

You don't. They'll pay you around the 15th of the month after you reach the payout amount.

Thats a bit of a mean reply. Whitechild hasn't been uploading long.
I also don't agree that DT is a joke, I make between 400$ and 500$ a month there which I am quite happy with.

Thats harsh if you see his downloads compared to number of images and the amount of time he has been on there he is doing well. I wouldnt say its a joke at all and if you feel that way then dont use it

I'm in now for seven months. DT was indeed slow the first 3 to 4 months. It takes some time before your pictures become downloaded. The last 2 month DT is becoming close to SS. And most downloads are from pictures which are a few months uploaded. So don't worry....things might become better in time :D
Shutterstock is the opposite. The first month you are explicite announced as a new artist an get relatively many downloads. After that things went much slower, as it seems. Now, with a much larger portfolio, my downloads are nearly on the level of that first month... I think this is a typical movement for the way SS is giving new contributers a first jump.

It's not harsh, it is called reality check.
I have 199 DL on my best image on IS and I don't kiss their bottom either.
My best image on DT has 13 downloads, which is frankly ridiculous.

I agree with Whitechild. DT is a great agency. I have always been happy with sales there.
Apparently enough people agree because in a poll taken on this site last month DT was the favorite agency of the vast majority of respondents :)

Disagree with you eperson. I could use the IGNORE button ;) but I want to say for whitechild
11 dls is still 11 dls. May be a joke to you, but it's something he is thankful for.
Some can be satisfied with one, others will never be satisfied even with 1,000, 000.
And yes, like lisafx, whitechild... said, DT is cool. IS? well, you stay there , since obviously it's better for you ;)

DT is a very cool site. My biggest seller on IS has 26 Dls yet my biggest on DT only has 7 but its still a great site that sells well and I wouldnt stop uploading there just because the sales are less. Its definately in the top 2 sites for me. Dont see how its a joke at all

I agree with Anton9. Some people are just never satisfied and in this case plain rude.
For me 11 downloads per image on DT is very good, as I have even less, and I am not embarrassed to say it.

Of course I am satisfied with DT. I have 230 files and 140 downloads. I think it's good. Actually it's much better than you :)
Here is your statistics comparing to mine:

Total sales: 106
Downloads per image: 0.47
and here is mine

So, I have 1,3 times bigger DL's/image than you. Which means, buyers on DT like my images more than yours. And of course...DT is not a joke. Look on the right. You see those small red an green arrows on the right side? Well, that is a poll. And you can see there that DT is on th second place after SS.... ;) :D

different sites work better or worse for different people, depending on your portfolio. personally dt is my #2 and while it is not growing as fast as fotolia or earning close to istock, it is a reasonably consistent and realiable earner.
with there pricing structure, images get more expensive as they have more downloads, so sales for these images slow down but the amount you get increases (I have images that cost 5 credits for extrasmall size), it also means people looking to save money will go to other images which is both good (if they go to your others) and bad (if they dont :))
there search engine ranking also considers your portfolio size, approval rate, searched words in the title and description (unless it has changed)

Looking at your DT you have 100 uploads with 15 being this month. It is all about quantity and more return. Keep uploading every month to have fresh material and you will see a vast difference. (I dont get to upload like I would like) DT is good to me and I believe i only have around 930 accepted images. I get a payout aprox. every other month or so. Sometimes I let it sit after I could get a payout till I need the money so it can keep getting bigger.
DT is a great agency.
