Doesn't matter, just hoping it wasn't a sub. Maybe you can find a copy of the cover for your collection.
I printed my first stock sale as an 8 x 10 and it cost me four times more than I made. :D

I emailed them already and they sent a nice reply saying that everyone there really liked the photo and they would send me some copies.
-
congratulations .. nice of them to send you some copies .. very nice image. take care, John

congrats thats a fantastic achievement

Wow, cover of a journal! That's pretty awesome. I come from a science background and I truly had no idea that those journals also use microstock. As far as I know, the journal contributors usually supply the cover picture (which aren't that great sometimes from aesthetic point of view), so I think this is quite an achievement! And it's an awesome picture, too. Congratulations!

They were nice enough to send a few copies and some fliers of just the cover image (not sure what these are called).
I found another one of mine on a cover for Chemical and Engineering News a few months ago too. http://pubs.acs.org/cen/archive/back2008.html (http://pubs.acs.org/cen/archive/back2008.html) The march 17th issue, they sent me a copy and there were lots of other microstock images on there. I can't remember where they got them, either IS or SS.

That is so cool. I've had no idea that microstock is that wide-spread.
