Title: Did anyone get a 1099 from Dreamstime this year?
Post by: lisafx on February 28, 2009, 15:09
I got a 1099 from Dreamstime the last couple of years, but didn't get one this year.  I'm wondering if they didn't send them this year or if mine was lost in the mail or something.

Anybody else get one?

Hi Lisa,
They aren't sending them this year.  They posted the following notice at the end of January:

Quote
Payments our agency makes to our contributors relate to amounts we due with respect to a sale of a product, versus the provision of a service. As consequence, we will not be sending a 1099 for any amounts we paid during the calendar year 2008. It is your obligation to report all payments, including the ones made by our agency, to all appropriate tax authorities or your tax preparer in case you have one.

Yeah, just report DT income under gross receipts.  Same thing you have to do for iStock and the rest out of the country, or that don't 1099.
