Have DT got FTP?????????????
I thought they didn't have ftp and always use Java which blocks everything else for me when I upload.

I can connect with my FTP program, but I can't get to the web site.  (I always upload with via FTP.)  I wonder if it has anything to do with Hurricane Irene?

There is a scheduled maintenance running right now. It was on their news.

Yup they certainly do. I can't remember if you have to apply for a user name to access it or if it's just somewhere in your account details, and I can't check right now as the sites down!

According to their site, their admin HQ is in Brentwood, TN. Fortunately, it's no where near the track of the hurricane. The site has been working OK for me this morning, so maybe just the maintenance, as grisho said.

the host name is upload.dreamstime.com then you use your user name (not your user number) and your password. That should work.

My ftp settings have the user as a number, which I guess is my user number, not my name.

from http://www.dreamstime.com/faq_search.php?faq_field=upload

"Where do I activate my FTP account?
You can activate your FTP access in your account's Management Area, in FTP Upload. Press the "Activate FTP" button to turn it on. This feature is available for users with at least one file available online. "

Check here too, definitely number, not name

Sorry about that. I have both written down, but thought it was the username. Thanks for clarifying.

No problem, I couldn't remember either, had to look at my settings then managed to track down the FAQ bit on DT.
