Title: dreamstime ftp problems
Post by: leaf on September 17, 2007, 02:38
has anyone gotten dreamstime ftp to work in the last few days - or today?

I can get them uploaded to the server but they don't get 'kicked' into the unfinished files area.

FTP worked fine for me over the weekend, though the transfer may have been a bit slow.

I experienced the same problem last week. Uploaded them successfully, but they never appeared in my "unfinished files" section.

Yes, on and off. It worked over the weekend for me, but was hit and miss all week. They keep announcing the problem is 'fixed' then discovering it isn't.

They lost two model releases and a batch of photos in the first big crash, then they rejected the same model releases after re-upload. The exactly same two that were previously approved and have already images attached to it! Then I waited until all seemed calm and uploaded again 50+ images and guess what happened??? They lost them in the next crash!!! I think I will take a long break and wait until they are really stable before I touch them again. No sense to waste time and bandwidth if they only loose my images in cyperspace, SY *exhausted*

Yeah, files have been sitting on the ftp server about 3 hours now. Not a good sign. Once enough people complain on their boards they will look again. Have to get through the  stages of tech support grief

Denial (We're not having a problem!)

Anger (It must be on your end. Now go away)

Bargaining (Maybe there is a problem, did you clear your cache? What brand monitor are you using?)

Depression (Guess we're having problems again. Woe is us. We are underpaid and malnourished)

Acceptance (Okay, we are aware of this problem and are working on it)

Yeah I learned those in Medical School as the phases a cancer patient goes through. Geez... what am I doing on stock? Ok, back to work, let's examine another apple. Seems it has some noise when heard at full auscultation and the focus is not exactly where we like it to be. Actually, we are not looking for this kind of fruit. We are looking for sunsets, flowers, and your pets!

Everything finally showed up. There were images that I finished that never showed up in accept or reject that I re-uploaded. All of these showed up as dupes almost a week later.

Almost every one was reviewed differrently. Rejects were accpeted and accepts were rejected. So in effect, 100% accpetance. Just shows to go ya.

Nops, uploaded via filezilla two days ago and got all reviewed today (Alleluja-no problems this time!!!). Try to make a fresh connection in filezilla instead of choosing the old one from the drop-down menu, that helps sometimes (computers *sigh*) SY
