Hmmm, There was no announcement but it seems that the search "sort" parameters have changed at Dreamstime. It might have changed some time ago but I just noticed that you now have the option of sorting your searches by -
most relevant (default)
latest uploaded
lowest price
best selling
smallest first
largest first
Not sure if this is good or bad but it seems the "lowest price" option is new, as are some others. It might give some of the older or lower tier images a better chance of selling (and moving up in their levels system)?

I don't remember lowest price or smallest/largest being there before.
Looking at how the "lowest price" search works, it seems to display oldest level zeros first. That probably makes sense as you can go for "latest uploaded" to get newest, but that then includes those which have sold (and thus aren't the cheapest any more).
The problem I see is that for a lot of the searches I tested with, the first page of results sorted via lowest price looks very unappealing - it's the older "rejects" if you want to be harsh about it. Given that look, I can't imagine it would take off with buyers. From a buyer's perspective I think I would want to see the images with high views and low sales (level 0 or 1) to get the high potential images.
I don't see the point of smallest first - why would anyone care about that? I can see the possible uses of largest first for those users with print applications that require lots of pixels.

I personally know a few buyers that don't mind wading through some rubbish to find the gems when sorting by lowest price. I think that it's a nice option to have available.

I cant see any changes? I think their "relevance", actually show quite relevat results though. Good search actually.

I agree here. I did a digital image video for a worthy cause and used DT for my images. I think I purchased somewhere like 200. It was easy to find what I wanted, but sometimes you do have to wade through a bunch of pages to find the right composition and look to fit the tone of your project and placement of copy.
