I uploaded a bunch without incident yesterday afternoon, however, when they cleared, I tried editing and the page would keep disappearing mid-edit. Even when I hit save part way through nothing was saved.

I've heard other people saying even ftp was troublesome. So it seems to be hit or miss.

Sales chug along slowly for me there. So, I add stuff when I have a chance.

Uploading is very easy, sales are slow. In 2024 I made exactly 100 dollars while adding 2700 files and reaching around 4600 uploads.

Now I have around 5k files and this year so far 10 dollars.

My goal is to reach 100 dollars a quarter one day. And perhaps in 10 years 50 dollars a month.

Probably needs 30k files for 30 dollars a month or something.

All fingers are crossed :-)

I currently have 50,820 files (including about 3,000 videos) and $72.10 in 2025 so far - but since your pictures are of better quality than mine, the goal of $50 a month is definitely achievable!

Wow.  That is brutal.   I have ~2500 files and ~25 dollars so far this year and I thought I was doing poorly.   Single Alamy sale last week is more than entire year on DT at this pace.

Very nice! When did you begin to upload content to Dreamstime?

I just checked my statistics - the first download at Dreamstime was in February 2019 (started with stock images in August 2018).
(My best year at dreamstime was in 2021 with about $180)

Made me go check my annual DT stats.   Best yr was 2021,  118.89 dollars.  Had less than 1000 photos at that time.

My portfolio is still on Dreamstime, but as so many others have noted, the site is sells very slowly - compared to the major sites and also compared to itself years ago.

Just to give some perspective, my portfolio is modest - all photos, no AI - 2,659 files. Compared to the 50k+ portfolio, I'm tiny.

So far in 2025 I've earned $50.44; once that would have been a bad month!

I started at Dreamstime in 2004 and did a stint as an iStock exclusive from 2008 to 2011. My first full year back as an independent after that, 2012, Dreamstime netted me $1,632.32 and I thought that was barely OK.

In addition to increased competition, IMO Dreamstime hurt themselves with some overly complex pricing changes  that were very confusing for buyers. Files varied in price and it made budgeting for stock harder than at other microstock sites. It's been a slow slide down in earnings ever since.

Looking at DT's 2024 stats my average earnings per month was $14.39

On the plus side, Dreamstime hasn't messed around with contributor royalty rates (people don't like the $100 payout threshhold but the terms are clear and have been that way for ages, so there's none of the horse pucky other sites have engaged in. And they gave us a bonus in royalties during the pandemic - compare that with Shutterstock's foul royalty cut around the same time.

As long as they treat contributors fairly, I'll live with their painfully low sales.

DT was my first site back in 2006. While they haven't screwed contributors over recently, they did change things that hurt contributors a few times over the years, but nowhere near the level of sites like 123RF, IS, canva, or SS and nothing recently plus bumping things up during the pandemic was appreciated and in stark contrast to what SS did. Unfortunately, they have become an almost 100% subs sales site.

My earnings peaked around 2012 but was pretty good about 2009-2015 (and was pretty good for the # of images I had before that). Now I have ~4600 images (no AI) but probably had about 1/2 of that in 2012.

Similar to Jo Ann I've made about $53 so far this year and that would have barely been my worst month in 2012.
