It took long enough but the regulars at DT who are mostly newcomers who think everything is rosy or complain about everything finally got the news. As soon as someone mentioned his "exclusivity" elsewhere the thread was closed and an admin said to come here to discuss it. http://www.dreamstime.com/thread_23308 (http://www.dreamstime.com/thread_23308)

Interesting that they posted a link to MSG. It suggests that they are happy for the discussion to continue ... but don't want any potential legal ramifications if it got out of hand on the DT forum.

DT: Sorry folks this subject is out off bounds, you can discuss Yuri's hatred of us on his thread on msg.
MSG: Sorry folks you've expressed enough hatred for Yuri, so this thread is now closed.
;D

hahaha that's microstock dirty little secret ... all this BS about exclusivity is nonsense, nobody will care or notice if you're exclusive while selling on other agencies, in case they catch you just say it's been a mistake or whatever.

Actually, IS has been very thorough and methodical for the most part throughout the years. I guess that is part of why the Yuri thing ruffled a lot of feathers.

chasing this sort of infringments is just not profitable for micro agencies, it's a cost with no return on investment, and what's the point anyway when they've 30K contributors ? yeah i'm boring but this BS about exclusives is just nonsense, look at Reportage By Getty, that's an exclusive boutique stock agency ... a few dozens of photographers, each well paid and with a contract, each with his bio page, hard to get in, etc etc
so, they should better focus on making bloggers pay for using pirated images in my opinion, it seems to have worked well a few years ago when Getty launched a crackdown.

True and probably a work in progress, in order to get him moved in fast. They will fix the minor distractions over time and contract limits, such as the 90 days at DT. Just a guess, but someone check in 90 days from when the Exclusive was announced. Peoplepics has an exclusion. So it's not really exclusive anyway.
For the rest of us, it's monitored and exclusive really means RF exclusive.

here its the place to discuss Yuri's exclusivity but DT seems to be the place that still have his portfolio online after 3 months and 1 week, how refreshing is that ;D

Why do the other companies allow this - here is your answer-
$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

actually in this case DT doesn't have any obligation, 99% of his portfolio is older than 6 months but Yuri's distribution team (Yuri) aren't (isn't) worried so it will go on until Getty says: enough Sir Denmark ;)

DT could take the high moral ground and remove his portfolio. They aren't under any obligation, as his images aren't marked as exclusive on DT. I don't think they're leaving it there just for the money. It looks bad for Yuri, Getty and istock to have his images marked as exclusive when they're on other sites. Why should DT help their competition?
