For the first time for me DT is ahead of IS. IS has been very slow this month for me and DT very active. So now it is SS, DT, IS, FT.

I had a great month on DT in August, September is a bit down on that but still good. This months surprise is 123rf, already a BME and ahead of DT and FT.

"Best, "better" can refer to anything. In my view, the only data that makes sense monthly (o daily o weekly, whatever you want) revenue/total number of photos in the folder.

Still a week to go, but for me it is DT, SS, IS and that is a surprize.  DT is normally in third place by quite a gap.  DT is performing better, but SS and IS not so great...

That doesn't work for IS, since they limit the number of uploads, while others reject a lot. I suppose most of us upload what we can to any agency. Total revenue is what counts.

DT has been doing well for as well lately, and was better than IS in August. Even more interesting is that both of them are closing in on SS fast. If they continue like this, they will be ahead early next year. Who would have thunk   :D

Why it doesn't work? It defines exactly the capacity of making money for you of every agence.  Following your reasoning, I could also say "Hey, IS is the best and miles ahead from FT, DT, SS or wathever, because I'm exclusive at istock and don't have any single file at these other agencies".

SS has maintained first place for most of this year
Ft has knocked IS out of 2nd place for the last few months
DT(with RPM of 1.45$) for the first time ever is in 3rd place beating IS
IS
StockXpert
BS
123
A year or 2 ago I would never have believed that IS which was always a clear winner would get down to 4th place. At IS I've gone from averaging over 40 dls a day to about 20 dls a day with about double the amount of images and much higher quality images.

Do you mean RPD? If so, how do you get $1.45? Don't you get any subscription sales?

Yes I mean RPD :)
I get sub. sales but am getting a really high percentage of level 4 and 5 sales which are giving me between 2 and 5  dollars each depending on size.  There seems to be a higher percentage of credit sales this month in comparison to other months. Yesterday for instance amongst my sales were a 5.01, 4.91,4.17 and 4.14$ and only 20% of my sales were sub sales.
Although DT isn't my best earner it is the site that I have most respect for because of their fairness to us contributors.
On IS I have gone from a good day being about 80 dls.  to a good day being 30 dls.   The quality of my work has improved and my portfolio is much bigger but it's almost impossible for a non-exclusive to compete.

"WOW: DT is doing extremely well this month with a 200% increase in downloads. Last month I Had 2 downloads and this month is my BME with 6 downloads!!!!"

 ;)

Just to remember that when doing statistics on small samples, variations from month to month can be huge. The more downloads you have, the more this kind of information becomes relevant.

It's the reason why I'm waiting on Yuri answer to this post  ;D

Since last year IS is at the first place for me with 50% income.
DT since one year 10 %.
SS since one year with 30 - 40 %.

Ok, the level-prices at DT are fine!
But too often are the days with the very small subscriptions.

dt is still less than half IS, but it has finally overtaken ss (it has been within a few dollars last 2 months) and has actually earned about 20% more than ss this month so far.  (but then I cant remember the last 'good' month on ss, ft is now starting to get close)

My IS income is 2-5 times higher than DT almost every month. I joined DT before IS. DT sub sales has hurt my revenue.

Just a question...  Can you go exclusive in video with iStock? I thought you had to be an exclusive artist.
And if you aren't an exclusive artist, don't you think you might be able to sell your videos on other sites, as well?

Just wondering...
